The Apex 800 is a pulsed laser device used for the removal of unwanted hair. Base2 entered this project in the middle of the development cycle. After a thorough design review, the firmware was redesigned for more predictable control of the laser and for easy modification and maintainability.
Auxiliary programs were developed which produced documentation suitable for use in the product specification, functional specification, and software design specification. This allowed the software and documentation to remain in sync much more easily than with conventional methods.
